Also, pack a few plastic drinking straws. These will enable you to blow unwanted sand from your design without damaging your creation. Check your kitchen cabinets for tools like a pastry knife, spatula and straws to carve out and sculpt your sand castle. Finally, bring a camera or camera phone.
